Find the second RDR2 tie-in weapon in GTA Online! It’s a Stone Hatchet, and completing its challenge in GTA will unlock it for the other game. There’s no time limit for this, but don’t let the chance go to waste.

Fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 rejoice as two weapons are available to unlock in GTA Online. Don’t let this chance pass you by. The sequel to the critically acclaimed game Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. There will be a new protagonist, but the game still promises the same quality of action as the first — maybe even more.

To quench your thirst until October, there will now be not one, but two unlockable weapons.

Double Action Revolver

The first is a Double Action Revolver. To get it, you have to go on a scavenger hunt and take a picture of several landmarks. When you gain the gun, you can even participate in a headshot challenge that nets you a whopping $250,000 in game. It also unlocks the weapon for use in the upcoming game.

The Stone Hatchet

While playing, you might encounter Maude Eccles. After completing some bounties for her, your character can receive an in-game email from her. Complete the five special mission she gives. Once you do so, a new area will unlock. You’ll receive the Stone Hatchet there. You’ll also unlock a new kill challenge. It will also give you $250,000 when it’s completed, like the challenge for the revolver.

Hack ’em and Shoot ‘Em

When you get a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll also be able to use the weapon in that game. If you got both the revolver and hatchet, well aren’t you the bee’s knees! You have two limited edition weapons, for two games.

Red Dead Redemption & GTA Online

What a partnership between two games! Sure, they’re quite different in tone and setting. One is set in a big city, the other in the wilderness of the West. In one game, you play a character on the wrong side of the law, in the other, you’re not, but you can choose to be in the eyes of the people.

Well, this occasion is a good opportunity for GTA fans to try out RDR2 or vice versa, for RDR2 fans to try out GTA. Rockstar gets more profit, and everybody is happy. As happy as the long-time fans of both games, that is. Whatever the reason, this is something that shouldn’t be missed. So crack your knuckles and get started on these missions.

A lack of a deadline isn’t any excuse for dallying. That’s actually riskier because the missions can disappear at any time. If you do miss out on them, well, PlayerAuctions and our various tools (such as our GTA market price tracker) are here to help.

Enjoy GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 (when it finally gets released)!
